When managing your surgical drains, make sure that you keep triple anti-biotic cream around the point of entry of the drains into your skin. Try to limit your time in public places until you heal. Stay away from nail salons and gyms where the tendency for disease is high. Wash your hands frequently and with warm water. If anyone helps you with the drains, make sure they put on exam gloves.
