Genae M. Girard

Helping More Women Thrive as Breast Cancer Veterans
After several years of personally growing companies as an entrepreneur, in April of 2010, Genae launched her website www.BeyondtheBoobieTrap.com. The site delivers several tiers of education and coaching for women to move forward after breast cancer. She has thousands of breast cancer followers all over the country and internationally. She is the author of the breast cancer book, "Off the Rack" and acts as a coach providing information she has accumulated for women to jump start their way out of treatment and into a better way of living.
Currently, she is involved as a plaintiff for the ACLU. They are suing Myriad Laboratories for granting a patent on the BRAC1 and BRAC2 breast cancer genes. She has been featured on 60 minutes, the NY Times and Wall Street Journal to name a few. In December of 2011, the case has now reached the Supreme Court.
Genae acts as a business consultant on how to leverage your social media tribe as well as how to gain corporate sponsorship to grow your market presence. She actively consults for large corporations who want to either better their breast cancer awareness programs, design better products or tap into her community for feedback. She is an active motivational speaker and mentor.

Paula never imagined that after her breast cancer diagnosis at age 37, in 1997, she would become a leading voice in the changing game of survivorship care. Paula’s company, What’s Next For My Life? ™ Inc., has given thousands of cancer patients the confidence and tools to take back control and live happier, healthier lives during and after cancer. Today, as co-founder of the Cancer Survivorship Coaching Coalition, she’s leading the charge to bring life coaching into the mainstream of personalized, integrated cancer care.
CURE Magazine describes Paula and survivorship coaching ‘Game Changers’, because the proactive, accelerated learning tools quickly and effectively transform normal, human resistance to change into healthy choices and sustainable lifestyle changes. Over 95% of Paula’s clients report significant increases in their feelings of empowerment, and ability to make choices and take action in all areas of their lives.
De Long’s appeal comes from her willingness to talk about the tough stuff, everything from what goes in your bra after a mastectomy to what to do in your last few months of life. Her one-on-one coaching, workshops, and courses are done over the phone with participants from around the country, and are also offered at cancer treatment centers and support organizations.
Thanks to funding from the Southeast Florida Cancer Control Collaborative, 1000 of her self-guided journals, the What’s Next For My Life? She is a certified Life and Wellness Coach and Certified Peak Pilates Instructor/Fitness Expert. Beth Kaufman

Beth is a three year cancer survivor who went through treatment with a sense of humor. While sitting in chemotherapy one day she decided that she had to give up her law job and pursue her passion in life, comedy. She persued it and one night completed an open mic night. She has never looked back.
Beth has two teenage girls, which provide her with quite a bit of material. She has been married for 33 years and is living each day to it's fullest. Beth performs at: The Helium comedy club in Philidelphia, The Recher in MD, Potomac Grill in MD, Jack Sprat in Chapel Hill, NC, Brittneys Comedy Club in VA and spoke recently at the Cleveland Relay for Life.
